The year’s most interesting rock and roll story continues to unfold with the declaration by Cliff Williams that he is about to retire from AC/DC.

Following the enforced retirement of Malcolm Young, Phil Rudd’s disgrace and Brian Johnson’s replacement with Axl Rose, the 66-year old bassist has revealed his plans to step away from AC/DC in an interview with Gulfshore Life.

“It’s been what I’ve known for the past 40 years, but after this tour I’m backing off of touring and recording,” he is quoted as saying in the piece. “Losing Malcolm, the thing with Phil and now with Brian, it’s a changed animal. I feel in my gut it’s the right thing.”
