30-year celebration in January

MetalForMelbournebanner

Victorian record store Metal for Melbourne played a pivotal role in promoting heavy music in the 1980s, championing the likes of Taramis, Bengal Tigers, Ion Drive, Taipan and more through the shop and annual concert, the last of which was in 1986.

To celebrate the legacy 30 years on, Metal for Melbourne is returning for a one-off showcase at the Corner Hotel on January 14. Greta Tate, store manager and curator of the original event, has brought together 11 acts representing the best of the era for this very special one off show, many of whom are reforming especially for the day. The complete line-up is:

Depression
Abramelin
Mass Confusion
Bengal Tigers
Persecution
Nothing Sacred
Ion Drive
Tyrus
Taramis
Renegade
Hobbs’ Angel of Death

Tickets are available now from the venue thru Ticketscout.
